Obviously, we're playing another really good football team (the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers) that's in the hunt for the Conference USA championship every year.
i forget how many years in a row they've been to a bowl game. I think its five or six.
Coach (Tyler) Helton does a great job. They've won a lot of games.
They've lost two games this year. They lost to Alabama and to Boston College.
That's it.
WKU HC Tyler Helton Weekly Presser Previewing KSU
Another big conference game at home. Really excited about the opportunity to play Kennesaw State. They look like a very impressive football team. A very hungry team. Obviously, had a big win against Liberty. As I've had a chance to watch them throughout the season, you can tell they're a well coached team. So, we need to play our best football. We need a championship mentality. Should be a great atmosphere...got a lot going on on campus free concert and blackout. So, it should be a good game.
Show MoreKennesaw State Named Cheez-It National Team of the Week
KSU's improbable win over Liberty continued to be lauded nationally as the Owls were named the Cheez-It National Team of the Week award, as selected by the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA). Powered by a season-high 323 yards of offense and unyielding defense, Kennesaw State kept Conference USA's top team at bay. The Owls secondary broke up six passes including a career-best three by cornerback Tyler Hallum, who turned in a SportsCenter Top 10 interception in the second quarter.

Show MoreOwls Stun First Place Flames As Crowd Storms The Field…Twice!
It was a thrilling Wednesday night game that made national headlines as a “monumental win” with fans and students storming the field for the first time that I can remember at Fifth Third Stadium. A historic 27-24 victory for KSU ending the Flames’ 17-game regular-season win streak...the Owls’ first win over an FBS team. “For the past month and a half, all we discussed was the importance of unity and faith in each other,” said coach Bohannon. “We believed, if we persevered, something positive would occur.”

KSU will continue its midweek action, playing its first Wednesday night game as it welcomes former Big South foe Liberty in its lone home game between three road trips. It will be the 4th all-time meeting between the two teams, but the first since 2017 and the first as Conference USA opponents. All four have come as conference games with both programs previously being members of the Big South. Wednesday night’s game will also mark the fifth nationally televised matchup in Kennesaw State’s history.

Garland Benyard tied the school record for sacks (3.0) and Donelius Johnson recorded the first safety in program history to help lead a valiant defensive effort, but Kennesaw State football dropped a 14-5 conference game to Middle Tennessee on Tuesday night at Floyd Stadium. Alongside those two's efforts, the Owls (0-6, 0-2 Conference USA) battled to hold the Blue Raiders (2-5, 1-2 CUSA) to just 4.1 yards per play, including an impressive 2.4 yards per rush against the run game.

Kennesaw State (0-5, 0-1 CUSA) takes it’s quest for a first win of the season on the road to Middle Tennessee State in Murfreesboro for a strange Tuesday night game staying in the conference on October 15th. The weeknight game does give the Owls an 11 day break. They might have a shot in that one with the Blue Raiders (1-5, 0-2 CUSA) also struggling out of the gate and coming off a tough Thursday 48-21 conference road game loss at Louisiana Tech. Unlike the Owls, they’ll be playing on just five days rest.
Show MoreKSU Dominated At Home 63-24 By Jax State In First Conference USA Game
The way the game started was a sign of how the whole game would go. The Owls got the ball first and went a quick three and out. A different story for the Gamecocks as RB Tre Stewart ran for 25 yards on the first play to the KSU34. QB Tyler Huff kept it for an 8 yard gain to the 27. Stewart again for 10 to the 17 and 16 for a first and goal at the one. He carried it across the goal line for a quick 7-0 lead. The Owls fought valiantly throughout, but were just overmatched.

Show MoreKSU Loses Wet Homecoming Game To UT-Martin 24-13
Kennesaw State hosted UT Martin for Homecoming on Saturday, hoping to get on the winning track after opening their first season in the FBS with three losses.
Looking at the Owls’ schedule, this looked like a winnable game as the only FCS team they would play. But, it was clearly the Skyhawks’ game with KSU’s offense only able to manage a pair of field goals with their other points all coming on a pick six.
The game kicked off under the lights with both teams looking good on defense.
Owls Unable to Cool Spartans,
Fall 31-10
Despite forcing three turnovers in the first half, penalties and miscues stymied Kennesaw State football's momentum as it fell 31-10 to San Jose State on Saturday night at CEFCU Stadium. Quarterback Davis Bryson finished with 128 yards passing on 14-of-22 passing to end the game, while running back Qua Ashley hauled in four receptions for 51 yards to tie his career high.
