UGA Given Another Kickoff Time, Windows For 2024 Games

The Bulldog football team has been given another kickoff time and network along with its windows for its five remaining games, according to an SEC announcement. Georgia will host Massachusetts on Nov. 23 and the game will be televised by the SEC Network at 12:45 p.m. Designating windows for all games not yet assigned a kickoff time prior to the start of the season is a benefit of the new conference rights agreement between the league and ESPN starting this fall.

One Game Every SEC Team Should Circle in 2024 Football Season

College football is under two months away. We look forward to arguably the most anticipated college football season in history. Several changes are set to take place. Among the changes is conference realignment, which places the Oklahoma Sooners and Texas Longhorns in the Southeastern Conference with no more East and West divisions. Georgia Tech football received a flurry of recognitions as Athlon selected nine Yellow Jackets to its 2024 Preseason All-ACC Teams. RB Jamal Haynes, WR Eric Singleton, Jr. and offensive lineman Weston Franklin led the way for Tech on its second team, while QB Haynes King and OL Jordan Williams were tabbed third-team selections. Offensive lineman Joe Fusile, defensive lineman Zeek Biggers, linebacker Kyle Efford and defensive back LaMiles Brooks rounded out the picks

ACC officially welcomes three newest members to the league

The Atlantic Coast Conference now stretches across the country, breaking away from its original geographic footprint to add two new members from California and a third from Texas. The conference welcomed Cal, Stanford and SMU into the fold. SMU’s first official day in the ACC was on Monday, while Cal and Stanford, refugees from the nearly depleted Pac-12 Conference, will become official members on Aug. 2, 2024. All three institutions will begin conference competition this fall.

The event will be held at the New Orleans Marriott. and will be broadcast nationwide on ESPN+. Sun Belt East Division programs—App State, Coastal Carolina, Georgia Southern, Georgia State, James Madison, Marshall and Old Dominion—will appear on July 23. e Sun Belt West Division programs—Arkansas State, Louisiana, ULM, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Texas State and Troy—will on July 24.

Atlanta Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. signs rookie deal

The Atlanta Falcons' No. 8 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has agreed to terms on a four-year, $22.8 million rookie contract, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per a source. Atlanta's selection of Penix was the stunning decision of draft night after the club's big offseason signing of Kirk Cousins, who became a Falcon on a four-year, $180 million contract that includes $100 million in guarantees. Penix will presumably sit behind Cousins for the next couple of years as an eventual successor.

NFC South Analysis: Can new-look Falcons topple Buccaneers?
