NFL Power Rankings: Packers rise entering Week 1; Commanders, Cowboys slip
The Micah Parsons trade was probably the biggest preseason shakeup since the Bears pulled off a stunning deal to land pass rusher Khalil Mack seven years ago to the day. Mack signed a deal to become the highest-paid non-QB in the league, was the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year runner-up that year, and the Bears took the NFC North title with 12 wins, their most in more than a decade. But they also lost their opening playoff game.

Five first-round picks remain unsigned, including Caleb Williams
The vast majority of the 2024 draft class has signed. The biggest cluster of unsigned picks falls in round one. Five players aren’t signed. They come from three teams. Bears quarterback Caleb Williams (No. 1) and receiver Rome Odunze (No. 9) are not yet under contract. Ditto for Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy (No. 10) and edge rusher Dallas Turner (No. 17). Also unsigned is Bengals tackle Amarius Mims, (No. 18). All five will have fully-guaranteed 4-year deals, with the dollar value slotted based on selection number.

Falcons QB Kirk Cousins 'disappointed' in debut loss to Steelers: 'Needed to play better'
here was a lot left to be desired from Kirk Cousins' Atlanta Falcons debut, an 18-10 loss at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Atlanta's prized offseason acquisition didn't exactly live up to the immediate expectations an $180 million contract might bring, finishing 16-of-26 passing for 155 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions, one of which thwarted a comeback attempt late in the fourth quarter. "I was disappointed," Cousins said after the defeat.

Falcons HC Raheem Morris Press Conference Previewing Pittsburth
On week one, you can do too much as a coach. You've got to find a way to scale back, do what you're supposed to do and trust your process. We've got to just go in there have a relaxed state of mind and go do this together for the first time. Arthur (Smith)'s gonna bring something different to those guys when it comes to offense. Their defense probably is going to be the most known thing we know. (Mike Tomlin) is the elder statesman. He looks on this with a lot of pride. I've certainly got a lot of respect for him.

NFL predictions: Final record for all 32 teams, Super Bowl LIX pick, playoff matchups and MVP winner
Over the years, one thing I've noticed about making NFL predictions is that half the reason people love reading predictions is so that they can make fun of you at the end of the season when all your predictions end up being wrong, but that's not going to be an issue this year, because I'm not planning on getting any wrong. I'm going to go through each division and predict each team's final record. After that, I'll be making one bold prediction for each division.

NFL must pay more than $4 billion to 'Sunday Ticket' subscribers
The damages a federal jury has ordered the NFL to pay for violating antitrust laws in distributing out-of-market Sunday afternoon games on a premium subscription service is $4,707,259,944.64. The lawsuit covered 2.4 million residential subscribers and 48,000 businesses in the United States who paid for the package on DirecTV of out-of-market games from the 2011 through 2022 seasons. The lawsuit claimed the league broke antitrust laws by selling the package at an inflated price.

NFC South Analysis, Preview & Predictions: Can new-look Falcons topple Buccaneers?
The NFC South has been the most winnable division in the NFL the last couple of seasons. Atlanta remains a strong favorite to clinch it. Kirk Cousins, who was performing as a top-5 QB in terms of EPA per play before his Achilles injury, is a significant upgrade over Desmond Ridder. The Falcons new head coach, Raheem Morris, and new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson have a wealth of talent at their disposal, including elite running backs Tyler Allgeier and Bijan Robinson.
