Georgia opened at home riding an astounding 40 game regular season winning streak.

  The media were welcomed to a brand new press box very high up in the clouds Thank goodness for binoculars.

  Tennessee Tech came in not expecting much except a $550,000 payday to get manhandled for a few hours by the #1 team in the country.

  And, the Bulldogs let it be known early that manhandling was what they had in store as Carson Beck hit Dylan Bell on the first play on offense with a six second scoring drive.

    On their next touch, Beck had completions to Arian Smith, Oscar Delp, Dominic Lovett, Branson Robinson and finally Colbie Young for a 7 play drive to go up 14-0.

    Next, it was Lovett’s turn to catch one in the end zone as the Dawgs ran up a 24-0 score at the half.

   Kirby Smart had his troops fired up coming out of the locker room as they quickly drove downfield 75 yards in just 2:05, highlighted by a wide open Smith sprinting 50 yards for another TD and a 31-0 lead.

    Lawson Luckie added a 37 yard score.

    Dozens of backups got some valuable playing time as the Golden Eagles managed a meaningless late game field goal against fourth stringers to avoid the shutout.

    In three matchups with the Bulldogs, it was the only points they had ever scored.

    For the second week in a row, the UGA defense had only allowed three points in a 48-3 no brainer.

    The offense had put up 498 yards to Tennessee Tech’s 134. And a lot of that came in that final drive.

    Things start getting tougher as Georgia moves into the SEC portion of the schedule. They head to Lexington next Saturday to take on Kentucky.

   The Wildcats will be trying to get some answers after losing an embarrassing home game 31-6 to South Carolina. They’ll face a much more difficult opponent in the Dawgs.

     Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. ET and the game can be seen on ABC.
