Panthers Conclude Season Against Coastal Carolina
Georgia State put together an explosive 202-yard performance on the ground and two rushing touchdowns, but fell 48-27 to Coastal Carolina Saturday afternoon at home at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium. Georgia State closes out their 15th season at 3-9 and 1-7 in the Sun Belt Conference. "We are going to take a deep breath, re-assess the entirety of our program and figure out how we can move forward next season," said head coach Dell McGee. Christian Veilleux led Georgia State with 205 yards through the air.

After defeating Texas State in the final road contest of the season, the Panthers return to Coastal Carolina for the Season Finale on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 2:00 p.m. GSU and Coastal Carolina are meeting for the 8th time in program history. The Panthers are 4-3 against the Chanticleers. In the last contest, Georgia State defeated Coastal Carolina 30-17 on the road on Sept. 21, 2023. Despite a slow start to conference play, the Panthers continue to stand in Sun Belt rankings, on both sides of the ball.

Dorian Fleming and Freddie Brock both scored three touchdowns to lead the Panthers to a 52-44 win over Texas State on the road at Bobcat Stadium on Saturday. Georgia State used a big 219-yard output on the ground, including 133 yards from Freddie Brock, and four rushing touchdowns to pick up the win. Brock led all Panthers rushers with 133 yards and three touchdowns in the contest, picking up 7.4 yards per carry. Michel Dukes also added 62 yards and one touchdown on the ground.

Georgia State fell 38-7 to James Madison on the road Saturday afternoon. Zach Gibson led Georgia State's passing attack with 213 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without throwing an interception. Freddie Brock led all Panthers rushers with 24 yards in the contest. Michel Dukes also added 15 yards on the ground, as well as 39 receiving yards. Gibson's most prolific target in the ballgame was Dorian Fleming, who caught three passes for 54 yards. Petey Tucker got in on the action in the passing game as well, hauling in five balls for 54 yards.

Georgia State fell 34-27 to UConn on the road Friday night. "It's not the result that we wanted, but still very proud of our team," head coach Dell McGee said. "But it's time to wash thos game and focus on the next one." Zach Gibson led Georgia State's passing attack with 257 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and one interception. The starting quarterback also tacked on 16 yards and one touchdown on the ground late in the fourth quarter to lessen the Huskies' advantage to one touchdown.

Panthers fall 33-26 to App State
After a close game through three-and-a-half quarters, Georgia State fell 33-26 in heartbreaking fashion to the Mountaineers Saturday at Kidd Brewer Stadium. "Always proud of our guys for battling and staying the course," head coach Dell McGee said. "It all comes down to stopping the run, getting off the field on third down and limiting the big plays." Michel Dukes totaled 81 yards to lead the Panthers' ground attack and added one touchdown in the game, picking up 13.5 yards per carry along the way. Freddie Brock also tacked on 67 yards.

Georgia State put together a huge 218-yard performance on the ground, including 124 yards from Freddie Brock,, but fell 35-20 to Marshall Thursday night on the road at Joan C Edwards. "Disappointing loss tonight," head coach Dell McGee said. "I'm proud of how Zach Gibson played. He made some plays with his legs and made good decisions in the passing game." Despite the loss, the Panthers marked a season-high 218 rushing yards, including a game-high 56-yarder from Freddie Brock.

Georgia State fell 21-14 to Old Dominion at home Saturday. The Monarchs improved to 2-4 on the year and 1-1 in Sun Belt Conference play, while the Panthers fell to 2-3 overall and 0-2 in conference. Christian Veilleux led GSU's passing attack with 211 yards, tossing one TD and one interception. Freddie Brock led all Panthers with 40 yards. Brock also added 25 receiving yards and one touchdown. Michel Dukes had 33 yards rushing, averaging 8.2 yards per carry, as well as 73 receiving yards.

This is our first Sun Belt game. I don't think anybody in the Sun Belt is going to run the table. They did a lot of good things and were able to create some explosive passes against Vanderbilt. Everyone talks about their passing game. But, they've been able to run the ball. But, they've got some good running backs and a really big offensive line. They do a lot more than just pass. They’re also very effective at running the ball. On defense, really big front. Active defensive line.
