UGA football 2025 schedule: Dates are set for all 12 games
What could be Georgia football’s most attractive home schedule is now set for the 2025 season. It includes games between the hedges against Alabama, Texas and Ole Miss. The SEC gave dates to opponents and sites already known on Wednesday, so plan your weekends for next fall. It’s an eight-game SEC schedule again. The four nonconference games are against Marshall, Austin Peay, Charlotte and Georgia Tech. The Georgia Tech game in Atlanta is shifted to Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

A lot of empty seats… in part because of the opponent and maybe some people left town early for Thanksgiving. After all, 2-8 UMass was clearly a team in trouble, having just fired their head coach. No one was expecting much. But, no one apparently told that to the Minutemen. The $1.9 million dollar payday didn’t hurt. Georgia football (8-2, 6-2 SEC) gets a bit of a breather on Saturday as they host their second straight home game against an undermanned 2-8 UMass team who just fired their head coach Don Brown. Georgia football has packed up bags and hit the road from Athens to six different states in its first nine games.
Finally, the Bulldogs were between the hedges Saturday night for the first time in five weeks for a game that it could not afford to lose if it wanted to make the SEC Championship Game and the College Football Playoff.

No. 16 Ole Miss scored its biggest win of the Lane Kiffin era and boosted its playoff hopes with a 28-10 win over No. 3 Georgia on Saturday. UGA’s comeback hopes flickered out with 7:22 to go when Carson Beck was intercepted on 4th down. The Bulldogs went for it on 4th-and-10 at the Ole Miss 27, but Beck’s pass was tipped and intercepted. It’s the first home victory over a team ranked in the top two in the AP Top 25 in Ole Miss history, and the first time Georgia has lost to an SEC team outside of Bama since 2020.

The Starks family of four — mom, dad, daughter and son, Malaki — found shelter wherever they could, depending on the kindness of family and friends or finding the money when they could.
